Accessibility statement

Introduction

This accessibility statement concerns the service DC-help support portal (dc-help.digicampus.fi). The statement was last updated on 30 June 2026. The service is covered by the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019), which requires public online services to be accessible. The service is provided by Mediamaisteri.

Compliance status

This website partially complies with the accessibility requirements (WCAG 2.1, level A and AA). The non-compliances are listed below.

Non-accessible content

This website is not yet fully compliant with the requirements. The known shortcomings are listed below.

  • The standard forms of the Freshdesk platform (login, support request form, search, language selector): the accessibility of the forms cannot be fully ensured. WCAG criteria 3.3.1, 3.3.2 and 4.1.2. Justification: this is a third-party platform (Freshworks), and the forms cannot be modified.
  • The FreshChat chat window is a third-party service from Freshworks embedded on the page in a separate iframe (a different domain). Full compliance of its internal interface with all accessibility criteria cannot be verified from our side and the content cannot be modified — responsibility lies with the service provider. Justification: this is third-party content.
  • Knowledge base articles and attachments (including PDF files) may contain shortcomings, such as missing alt texts, headings or text alternatives. WCAG criteria 1.1.1, 1.3.1 and 1.4.5. Justification: this is content produced by users and administrators.
  • Comprehensive manual screen reader and keyboard testing has not yet been carried out on all pages. Justification: the content has not yet been tested in all respects, so individual undetected shortcomings may occur.
  • The language selector uses an <h5> heading as a control, which causes inconsistency in the heading hierarchy. WCAG criterion 1.3.1. Justification: the control is managed by Freshdesk.

Improvements made

The accessibility of the service has been improved by, among other things, the following measures:

  • Skip link to content (skip navigation).
  • Landmarks, i.e. landmark roles (main and nav) in the page structure.
  • Corrected heading hierarchy.
  • Visible focus ring (focus-visible).
  • ARIA attribute fixes (menus, accordions, tabs, language selector).
  • Contrast fixes.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 30 June 2026. The assessment is based on a self-assessment carried out by the service provider, using the axe-core 4.10 automated tool as well as targeted fixes. The statement was last reviewed on 30 June 2026.
