The course description should include at least the following information:
- briefly the content of the course
- for whom the course is intended
- how to join the course.
The student should have an idea of the course content without having to join the course.
In courses, it is recommended to use self-registration without a course key, and if you wish, you can allow access as a visitor.
If for some reason a course key/group key is used in the MOOC course, then the course description must include instructions on how to acquire these.
Adding a course description
The course description can be added by clicking on the course homepage -> Managing tools -> Edit course settings -> Course summary.
