Completion Progress is a visual tool designed for students and teachers, allowing them to quickly see their progress in the course. The block displays with color codes which activities or resources a student has already completed and what is still pending.
- Green = Activities that have already been completed.
- Yellow = Submitted tasks that are still awaiting the teacher's completion mark or grading.
- Red = Passing grade not achieved or Overdue task
- Blue = Activities still awaiting student completion.
Adding the Completion Progress block to a course
Go to Edit mode (from the top-right corner, select Edit mode).
Under Edit mode, the "+ Add a block" button will appear; click the button and select "Completion Progress" from the list.
The Completion Progress block will then appear on the right side of the course page. By default, all resources and activities with completion tracking enabled will be visible in the Completion Progress block.
If desired, you can edit the block's settings in the course's main view by clicking the action menu (gear icon) next to the title of the Completion Progress block and selecting "Edit Completion Progress block" from the opened menu.
Overview of students' progress in the course
Teachers have the ability to easily view the course completion status in a single view. At the Completion Progress block, click the "Overview of students" button.
This will open a view where you can see the progress status of different students.
The view can be filtered based on which groups or roles the students belong to.
The Completion Progress block shows each student's current progress with color codes and percentages. You can also see when the student was last active in the course area.
At the bottom of the view, there is a messaging function that allows you to send a direct message to selected students of the course.
A note is information added to a student's profile, which can be personal, course-specific, or system-wide. By default, notes are visible only to administrators or course teachers. Personal notes are visible only to the person who wrote the note, but not to students. You can view the notes you have given by clicking the student's name and going to the "Notes" section.
