At DigiCampus, a new classification system will be used for defining the course coordinator. From now on, the course settings will separately specify which higher education institution the course belongs to, and additionally, if the course is part of a larger project or network. The course settings can be accessed from the course homepage by clicking Settings under the course name.
In the Higher education field, select the higher education institution that coordinates the course, which must be one of the institutions participating in DigiCampus. All projects are also coordinated by one of the participating institutions, so the corresponding institution should be selected in the Institution field.
The Project/Network field now includes projects or networks that have at least five courses on DigiCampus, where classification is also necessary for reporting purposes. If a course belongs to the home institution or to a smaller project, the field should be set to Other or institution’s course.
These fields are mandatory and visible to course teachers. Updating the information is the responsibility of the course teacher. Teachers should make these assignments for existing courses as well as for new courses going forward. When editing course settings, filling in these fields is required in order to save the settings.
Previously, DigiCampus used a "kotiorganisaatio/hanke" field in the course settings to specify this information. This field will be discontinued, and the new classification system will be used instead.
